HTML | CSS | jQuery
jQuery was used to develop this site. It was my first experience with jQuery. The hardest challenge I faced was prior to this experience I had been designing and developing static html and css sites. Creating a layout and a design for a site that moved was something I had to truly think about and plan ahead for. This is an informational site about the stars.

While this isn't the prettiest of sites, the technical skill behind it comes in very handy. This type of site is known as a Liquid Site. Designing a layout that would fit with the scaling of the site proved to be a challenge but alas, I prevailed.

Welcome to Prattle Babble. This is an online diary of sorts. My first project designed and developed using php. The functionality behind the project is to allow a user to register, log in and post the inner most workings of their brains, or whatever else comes to mind. Entries are private and can only be seen by the user once they have logged in.

Posh Paint was my first encounter with "branding". While I understood the concepts, this was taking branding one set further. There is a brochure that accompanies the site, as well as a flash piece that allows the user to "paint" a to better see the color choices.

myNon-Profit.Org is a site dedicated to non-profit organizations that need websites but do not have the funds to produce them. This website allows the organization to register and create and account. When they create that account it creates a webpage for them, that they can update through a control panel. The user is also allowed to choose which design they want to use.

The purpose behind the posh paint site was to create a brand identity. Through this brand, we were to portray both the web side of marketing as well as the print side. For the print side the challenge was to design a brochure that could be used as a company hand out. This was my first time designing for print. The biggest struggle I had involved understanding print colors and production. Through this opportunity I now better understand more about print design.

This newsletter was actually something that was printed and sent to the public. Most of the work I did for Habitat for Humanity was print work. I have done posters and flyers, as well as a magazine ad that was printed in a business journal. The logo for this newsletter needed to be redesigned so they allowed me to do so.

This is a magazine ad that was designed while I was at my internship. There were 3 different designs and this is the one the client choose. This ad will be printed in an up coming bridal magazine.

After my internship at The Mouse Artist, I learned alot about print production as well as the many different types of business card papers and textures. For my business cards I choose a matte 16pt finish because I wanted that particular paper texture to match the things I was using for the Portfolio Show.

To better brand myself, I created 3 different flyers that established my skills in each of the areas I am proficent in. Design. Develop. Done. is also my slogan, I wanted people to better understand exactly what that meant.

As part of the giveaways for portfolio show, I design magnets. These illustrate the services that I provide and a place to check out my body of work.

This was my first logo design. The company was an online magazine that was dedicated to writers. Since it was a company, I thought of the play on words with inc, and INK for writers. Then took the quill and played around with several different design ideas.

Posh Paint was a chance to experience branding, from top to bottom. For this project the brand had to go into everything. The wording, colors, images all these aspects had to present the images of Posh Paint, a green echo friendly company geared toward the more fashion forward person.
Illustrator
This was a newsletter that was printed and sent out to the public. When asked to layout the content and create an interesting design, I mentioned the possibility of a logo redesign. They loved the idea and I was able to create a more visually pleasing concept for them.

I had to brand myself. Of course I have been thinking of a way to brand myself for the past 5 years, and what designer doesn't go through many changes. This one however is by far my favorite. I choose a type face that looked like my hand writing, and the color purple because it best speaks to me. The idea to use just my first name and alot of white space was to draw attention and have me stand out from the crowd, and the slogan Design.Develop.Done. is how I work when tackling a project.
