Poetry Winner
In the End

I love him.
I don't want him to end up living with his mom till hes 30.
I want more for him
I want more from him
I want to be loved
to be cared for and treated like I'm the only one in the world.
I try to give him everything he wants
But I'm not sure I can
I'm not sure I have anything left to give.
I'm loosing the will to fight for something when he doesn't even care enough to acknowledge it.

He doesn't care
He doesn't love me
i'm not special
I'm just someone to satisify his lonliness.

It would be better for us both in the long run if he went to tennessee
it would be hard
painful and dark,
time consuming
but in the end
better.
better.
I think.

I say it twice like I"m trying to convince myself
and maybe I am
because a small part of me knows
it but the rest of me
won't let me accept it.
