Choose a work that you have been having some problems with. Find a line or paragraph that you really like but just isn't working with the piece. Write it on a scratch piece of paper and put it into and idea box to pull from later, using as your own writing prompt.

Poetry Prompt
Write a poem using diologe in the lines, but don't rely souly on that.

"I hate airplanes"
I don't understand what's wrong with me?
"Why?"
"Cause they take you places you don't want to go."
or places you really want to go but are to afraid to be an adult and take the plundge
"Thats not true, they can take you to Hawaii,
and everyone wants to go there."
I could go to Hawaii but then I would be miserable because he wouldn't be there.
"He keeps bothering you to come out there doesn't he?"
Does he ever
"Yeah and either way
it will end badly."
I can't do this, I can't go, can't step it up, can't be in love. It's too hard.
"So go."
"And what?
See what I'm missing?"
and make myself feel worse for breaking us up even though the whole world seems to know I didn't really want to, everyone except him
"Ok so don't go."
ARE YOU CRAZY?!?!?!
"And miss a chance to see him
and spend a week of happiness?"
snuggling in bed, sleeping in late, lounging on the beach... yeah I could do that
"Well, I don't have anything to say.
Seems to me you're stuck."
KRISTEN YOU IRRITATE ME!!! But I can't go out there, there's no way,
confrontation is not my friend.
"If I weren't stuck do you think we would be having this conversation?"
But I miss him like crazy.
"I guess not.....
So why do you hate airplanes?"
