Choose a work that you have been having some problems with. Find a line or paragraph that you really like but just isn't working with the piece. Write it on a scratch piece of paper and put it into and idea box to pull from later, using as your own writing prompt.

Write a poem without using adjectives.

This Poem is CRAP!
People always forcing me
to do things there way.
Telling me when to study,
and to do it for two hours at a time.
Why can't I study for 30 min,
take a break, then do it again?
Putting limits on my creativity,
"You can only write this way,
only use this set of words,
have three stresses per line,
and write 8-10 lines in 5 minutes".
Why can't I used a word that's not on the list?
Or have 10 stresses and only 5 lines?
Your stomping out the individual in me.
By telling me how to do things in your world.
Well news FLASH, It's not your world,
I don't have to do things how you say.
But your not the only criminal being convicted.
Everyone does it, my mother my coach, the Dean.
Just another name added to the list of
Creativity, Indiviualist killers.
Now there is this new assignment
another strike against you.
"Use no adjectives.
Go, now create this sculpture."
No ajdectives,
Why do this, is it amusing?
How on earth do you expect to paint,
with out color?
How do you write poetry,
with out descriptive words to place people's minds where you want them?
I'm sure people do this,
do your will at every new task.
But not me.
No Adjectives!?!?!
I don't follow unwanted direction well.
Forced to use words that sound
Wrong, and misplaced such as,
Ridiculousness.
Insanity is the plea
from all the bossing and authority.
Why must I do what you say,
AND do it YOUR way!?
Its always about the "you"
Never anyone NEW.
I'm trying to freaking rhyme,
so this will pass the time.
Because this poem is crap.
