Take a break. You would be surprised at how easy writing will come to you if you haven't done it in a while. So take a break, get some coffee, put the pen down and don't think about it for a day. When your ready or have some new ideas only make lists. Then come back to it a week later and start from there.

Writing Prompts for Poetry

This month we are going to be focusing soley on poetry, and different ways to write poetry other than just sitting down and writing what you feel and think. Below are several prompts, submit your work or just read what others have written. Enjoy and please feel free to send us any prompts you would think could be cool to use!
14 lined poem, each line has to end with these words in the same order given: quiet, kiss, riot, abyss, trees, june, peas, prunes, crystal, bar, pistol, guitar, booded, concluded.

Write a poem about someone eles, describe the person their life, who is this person? Where do they come from, what do they do? Description is the key here.

Write a poem using diologe in the lines, but don't rely souly on that.
